The Maria da Conceição Moreira Salles Demonstration Library-BDB’s mission is to be a library for experimentation and experience of new paradigms in public libraries, standardization and dissemination of good practices, always seeking to be at the forefront, being an important instrument for promoting the democratization of access to reading, the formation of new readers, the promotion of Brazilian literature and, also, contributing to the formation of new library professionals.
