The city library is located in the listed industrial building of Gasteig HP8. Here, in Hall E, the focus is on music, language and lifelong learning. Through the theme worlds of entertainment, excitement, music, Munich, learning/knowledge, life and creativity, visitors will find a new, intuitive approach to the media. Music enthusiasts can practice on electric pianos or embark on an acoustic journey in a Sonic Chair. In the MusikLab, musicians have the opportunity to record their own sound. In the GAiA Deli & News reading café, visitors browse through newspapers and magazines while enjoying their coffee. In the Projektor event room, on the ground floor of Hall E, international film series and the Great Children’s Cinema are shown.
