Koninklijke Bibliotheek (Netherlands National Library)

Netherlands

At home and in the library, online and offline. Since our foundation in 1798, we have been trying to collect as much as possible of what has been written in or about the Netherlands. From medieval manuscripts, to newspapers and from the Donald Duck to novels from all times.

We now store more than 120 kilometres of written heritage in our warehouse in The Hague. We store more and more digitally. We already store around 40 million digital newspapers, books, magazines, e-books and websites in our e-Depot. In addition, we help researchers with digital sources and datasets. Together with public libraries, we are committed to promoting reading, digital inclusion and lifelong development. And we host services like the online Library, Delpher and DBNL.
