In 2023, it celebrated its 225th anniversary. In 2024, it celebrates the official 50th anniversary of the National Deposit of Publications at the KB. As the national library of the Netherlands, the KB preserves Dutch printed heritage and increasingly focuses on digital publications. Its archives house over 120 kilometers of books, newspapers, and magazines.
