Michael Kandel is an author, editor, and translator. He received a Ph.D in Slavistics from Indiana University and is noted for his translation of the works of Stanislaw Lem—two of which were National Book Award nominees—Andrezej Stasiuk, Marek Huberath, and Pawel Huelle.
