Biblioteca Central Rubén Martínez Villena

Cuba

The Biblioteca Provincial Rubén Martínez Villa Library is located in the urban old town and stands out because of its architectural values. The Neoclassical building, constructed in the first half of the 20th century, has a beauty admired by the visitors. It was opened as a library in December 1963.

The name of the library is owed to an agreement between the librarians who decided to honour the intellectual and revolutionary Rubén Martínez Villena.

This institution has a privileged place among the Espirituanos, not just for the beauty of the building but for the communitary projection and the diversity of bibliographic funds with more than 100,000 samples.
