Michael Jacobson was born in Launceston, Tasmania in 1961. He has been a journalist since 1980, having worked in Launceston, Hobart, Sydney and now the Gold Coast, where he has lived for thirteen years. He is a book reviewer, magazine editor and chief feature writer for the Gold Coast Bulletin and is married with two children. Hodder Headline published his first novel, WINDMILL HILL, in 2002.
