Joseph O’Connor’s fiction has been published in forty languages. His novel My Father’s House, published in January 2023, became an instant bestseller. Described by the Sunday Times as ‘a spectacular, thrilling novel’ and by the Observer as ‘a literary thriller of the highest order’, it was a Washington Post Book of the Year. Film rights have been acquired by a Hollywood company, and the script is being written by twice Oscar-nominated Paul Attanasio (DONNIE BRASCO, QUIZ SHOW) Joseph’s previous books include the novels Cowboys and Indians, Ghost Light, Redemption Falls, The Thrill of it All and Shadowplay (An Post/Eason Irish Novel of the Year Award 2019, Costa Novel Award shortlist).
