Becky Manawatu (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Māmoe, Waitaha) is an author from Aotearoa New Zealand. Her debut novel, Auē, won the country’s leading fiction prizes and became one its all-time fiction bestsellers. Six years on Auē is regarded as a modern classic, with editions published around the world. The sequel, Kataraina, was published in 2024. She lives on Aotearoa’s West Coast with her family.
