NOMINATING LIBRARY COMMENTS

This title was chosen to be the nominee for our library because it has been well received by the public with over 50 checkouts and counting since it’s release in February of 2024. The theme of this book resonates with families who have either directly or indirectly experienced war in their lifetimes. It is especially focused on the female experience within the military, but does expose the many struggles that all share whether they are the veteran, family, or friends of those who have served. This book exposes the difficult topics of war that are hard to speak of and the impact it has on a community across generations that are still relevant today.
