In search of a rare orchid, Iris arrives on an island in the wild Bass Strait. She is seduced by the landscape’s strange beauty, and by the hope that she might one day find the flower that haunts her. Noah, the lighthouse keeper, is as remote as the island he guards; yet Iris is drawn to him. The relationship that unfolds binds her in a silent, powerful hold.
Then a lone sailor is shipwrecked on their shores, and the delicate balance of love, duty and passion changes forever. As tensions rise, Iris comes to realise that three is never a good number for an island.
