ABOUT
THE BOOK

Kasanga is now a free town. But free to do what? For Jose, the leader and his colleagues, freedom means undeterred participation in the cutthroat struggle for political power and self-enrichment, with the attendant corruption. Even the idealist John Cry is unable to bring about much change. The situation is not made any easier by Cry’s love for Jose’s daughter, Meatta.
