Anne Born (1924–2011) was a British poet, translator, and local historian known for her work on poetry, her translations of Scandinavian literature, and her historical books about Devon. Born Anne Cookes, she served in the Second World War, taught Morse code at an SOE station, and later met her husband, Povl, a Danish air force pilot, with whom she moved to Copenhagen. In the 1980s, she moved to Salcombe, Devon, where she wrote and founded the poetry publisher Oversteps Books.
