Author: E.L. James

Daunted by the dark secrets of the tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Ana Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a US publishing house. But desire for Grey still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, she cannot resist. Soon she is learning more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven and demanding Fifty Shades than she ever thought possible. But while Grey wrestles with his inner demons, Ana must make the most important decision of her life. And it’s a decision she can only make on her own …

About the author

E.L. James is a former TV executive, wife and mother of two based in West London. Since early childhood she dreamed of writing stories that readers would fall in love with but put those dreams on hold to focus on her family and career. She finally plucked up the courage to put pen to paper with her first novel Fifity Shades of Grey.

Librarian’s comments:

This engaging, enticing storyline from the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy produced a book which gives readers an insight into Christian Grey’s life from his point of view. The author draws us into the mind of Mr. Grey, engaging us in his emotions, feelings and insecurities, revealing the desperation of what lengths a man would go to when he loves a woman and wants to keep her by his side. His emotions flow off the pages as he lets us see the inner workings of his mind and his heart. This book also highlights the other side of the story about the couple who captured many hearts and attention: readers were riveted with Ana’s anguish as she tried to figure out Christian and if she was enough for him and now it’s Christian’s turn to figure how to get over his inner demons and prove to Ana she is the one person he loves the most.
