THE BOOK

This is the complex story of a woman tearing herself away from a major love affair, driven by the pain of her decision to take a long journey. Arriving eventually on the island of Patmos, the battle to save her life reaches a climax and feeling she is on the verge of losing her soul, she rediscovers herself in the form of a sleeping child. She discovers the true grandeur of love and with it a sense of her own self. Kostis Gimosoulis lives in Athens, where he was born. Her Night on Red is his seventh book.

Kostis Gimossoulis (Greek: Κωστής Γκιμοσούλης; 1960 – 7 August 2023) was a Greek poet and novelist. He studied law at the University of Athens. He was also a draughtsman and watercolorist, and Μαύρος Χρυσός (Black Gold), a book he published in 2001, contains poems, stories and watercolours he produced.

Ramp

American-born poet and translator Philip Ramp came to Greece in 1964. Shortly after moving to Aegina he met the Greek poet and translator Katerina-Angelaki Rooke, and for some years they worked on translation together. He started working on his own in 1975 and has done so ever since.
