ABOUT
THE BOOK

Naana, an African girl growing up in Europe, searches for her identity. Her whole world turns up-side down when she learns the truth about herself. She returns to Africa in the hope of re-establishing her identity, and comes face to face with the mother she had not known existed, until a few weeks before, languishing in a psychiatric hospital where she had been a patient for many years. What happens afterwards will change mother’s whole life. How do mother and daughter, now reunited, come to terms with themselves, and with those around them? How do they cope with the new challenges, as Naana finds new and enduring love?
