Wahome Mutahi (24 October 1954 – 22 July 2003) was a Kenyan humorist, satirist, playwright, novelist, and journalist who rose to prominence under the pen name “Whispers,” through which he authored a weekly column of the same name in the Sunday Nation from 1982 until his death.

 

Wahome Karengo is a well-known Kenyan journalist, playwright, and author. He is best recognized for his close collaboration with the late, celebrated Kenyan satirist Wahome Mutahi (popularly known by his pen name “Whispers”). Karengo is deeply embedded in East Africa’s literary, theatrical, and media circles.
