Baldeosingh

Kevin Baldeosingh was born on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad. He is a newspaper columnist, author, and humanist who has written on a variety of social issues. He worked for the Trinidad Express, The Trinidad, and Newsday for over 25 years. While working as a journalist, Baldeosingh wrote extensively in different genres: over 2000 newspaper articles, 30 periodical articles and papers, 20 short stories, several novels, and some nonfiction. His noteworthy novels are The Autobiography of Paras P. (1996), Virgin’s Triangle (1997), and The Ten Incarnations of Adam Avatar (2004). His nonfiction includes A Trini Political Dictionary (2017), Child Proof 0–3 (2018), Fix 25 (2018), Mocking Gods (2019), and From Colony to Curse (2020). His one-act play The Comedian was one of the four winning entries in the National Drama Association’s playwriting contest of 2017. He was also 1 of the 15 distinguished finalists in a 2007 global essay competition organized by “TRACE International,” a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development and promotion of anti-corruption programs.
